2. Installing Office 2013 (00:17:30)
With the introduction of Office 365, you now have three primary ways of installing Office 2013: DVD, download, and Office 365 integration. The DVD and download installation methods are pretty straightforward, so we'll show you some of the cool stuff about Office 365 and some gotchas to look out for as we install Office 2013 Professional Plus!
3. Workspace Fundamentals (00:37:20)
New to Excel? New to Office in general? This is a great start to your journey! If you've used the product in the past, there's probably one or two new things you can skim through. This Nugget covers the interface, workspace, and even how to customize your Quick Access Toolbar.
4. Data Entry: Text, Numbers, Dates (00:27:15)
At some point you will need to add some data to your spreadsheet. In this Nugget, we take a very simple look at what it means to input into a cell, default behaviors, and even a gotcha!
5. Cell Formatting (00:26:39)
Once you have some form of data in the cells, what can you do with it? Quite a bit actually! Check out basic formatting of text, numbers, and even Quick Styles!
6. Advanced Cell Formatting (00:29:41)
If you are planning on taking the exam, there are a few things they might ask you to do, such as insert a hyperlink, split or merge cells, and use Autofill. These are some of those neat tricks that your friends who work with Excel use to dazzle you. Now you'll know how to use them as well!
7. Rows, Columns, and Worksheets (00:25:13)
Why should cells get all the attention? It's the rows and columns that create these cells and there are certain formatting and adjustments that can be made to help keep your spreadsheets looking good. We'll cover hiding, freezing, and resizing just for starters!

We know that you'll probably use a "big kids" database when you are working with large amounts of data, but Excel 2013 does a great job as a Spreadsheet program with lists, data content, and tables. Spreadsheets can sometimes become mesmerizing as you scan row after row, column after column of data. Time for some visual stimuli!! Charts and Graphics can alleviate the hypnotic routine of a spreadsheet and communicate even faster what your data is telling you.

If PivotTables were the only feature of Excel, besides inputting data and running some formulas, it would be worth it's weight in silicone chips. PivotTables are tools to help summarize and analyze data without affecting the data itself. No formulas to mess with, no functions to memorize, just simply drag and drop data sets where you want to summarize and analyze. Don't like it? Swap in some values and pull out the old . . . PivotTables are the kings of flexibility.
12. Advanced Charts and Graphics (00:25:52)
Excel continues to add more and more features to its arsenal of Data Analysis goodies. Sparklines and trendlines were added in 2010 and have continued on in Excel 2013. PivotCharts take PivotTables and make them look gorgeous. They are excellent for visually showcasing your data to your peers and clients.

Excel's power lies in the ability to take data, references, numbers, etc. and perform actions upon that data. That's what formulas and functions are all about. Need to add things? You might not think that formatting is important when it comes to a function or a formula, however, you would be missing some important elements of true functionality in Excel 2013.
